Executive Summary Key Elements

It is important to prepare this section with care.  Keep in mind that many of the Business Plan readers will look at the summary first.   The summary should provide the reader with an overview of:

The company Mission Statement

·        What is your goal or purpose—reason for being)

The Company description

·        What makes your company unique?

·        How will it grow?

·        And what factors will make it profitable?

·        Make your strategies and objectives clear.

·        Description of the Market you will compete and your customer

Products and Services

·        What needs your product/service is satisfying

·        What makes your product/service unique

Management

·        It is important in this section to describe management team qualifications. Focus on expertise in relevant areas. Include names, titles, and responsibilities. Name Consultants and recruitment practices.

Competition

·        You must show that you know your competition

Financial Projections and plans

·        Your projections for the future (sales and profits)

·        Procedures and timetable for repaying investors
