Zen Benefiel's response to the partnership, "Steve [EIS] and I have very similar styles and with his mentorship, our combined efforts can ignite the leadership and restore the passion for managers, team leaders and their support groups. Stephen Clarke is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation and has over 30 years experience in the construction industry and over sixteen years' experience providing partnering services for the Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Texas, California, and Nevada Departments of Transportation and other state and local agencies. He has personally facilitated over 2000 partnering workshops. Also, he consults in the areas of quality management and continuous improvement, organizational development, customer satisfaction, employee involvement, and team building. He is a specialist in the design and implementation of accountable systems to involve employees in the successful, cost-effective operation of their organizations. Some client organizations include the U.S. Army, State Farm Insurance, and the State of Arizona. He has a M.A. degree in Organizational Management, a B.A. degree in Business Management with a minor in Behavioral Sciences. In addition he is a Certified Energy Leadership Coach, and a trained mediator having served as a Maricopa County Justice Court mediator. His expertise in quality combined with his experience in construction and facilitating partnering in the transportation industry on highway, bridge, and other construction projects presents him as a well qualified facilitator for partnering projects. Zen Benefiel holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Organizational Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is a certified life coach through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and has over 30 years experience across the aerospace, education, special event and transportation industries, facilitating partnering for projects, organizations and teams. He has facilitated hundreds of partnering projects. His areas of expertise include process control and continuous improvement, organizational development, supply chain management, team building and strategic planning. He has helped achieve the success of multi-million dollar projects through effective interpersonal skills development and project management. He coaches and consults in partnering, team building, customer service, client surveys, employee involvement, strategic planning and professional development. He has also taught business plan development classes part time at the college level for ten years, was a production control coordinator in the aerospace industry for five years, responsible for $7 million in monthly shipments, a high school teacher for five years, often in charge of an entire curriculum; and special event manager for ten years with ranges of 5,000 to 250,000 patrons per event.
